Answer:

32π cm²

Explanation:

Area of a circle is given by πr²

Where r is the radius.

For this case, let outer radius be R while inner radius r hence the area, A is given by;

Shaded area will be

A=π(R²-r²)

Substituting 6cm for R and 2 cm for r then

A=π(6²-2²)=π(36 cm²-4 cm²)=32π cm²

Therefore, the area is 32π cm²
