Andy's rate of change was 3 miles per day; Laura's rate of change was 5 miles per

day. If Andy recorded his total distances using a graph instead of a table, would his
graph or Laura's graph have the greater slope? Why?

Laura’s graph would have the greater slope, because she covers more distance each day. Both distances are being measure in miles, and both people are being tracked over the course of days.

Andy’s slope will be 3/1, 3 representing the miles he travels, 1 representing each day. Laura’s slope will be 5/1, 5 representing the miles he travels, 1 representing each day.

5/1>3/1
