Using the Law of Sines is the way to go, but before you we use it we need the measure of angle A.

180 - 102 - 28 = A so

A = 50 degrees. Now setting up the Law:


(sin50)/(a) =(sin28)/(27) and cross multiply to get

27sin50 = asin28 and


(27sin50)/(sin28)=a so

a = 44.1 cm
