What makes a unit circle distinct from just any circle drawn on the coordinate plane is that the unit circle starts with the origin finding the radius,It also consists of forming a triangle on the radius with the x-axes,y-axes and 1 which is always the radius on the unit circle which is very different from a coordinate plane.
