PLEASE HELP!

Describe and correct the error in finding a solution of the equation in two variables.
y= 3x + 2; (5,1)
5 (? right on top of this) = 3 (1) + 2
5 = 5
So, (5,1) is a solution.

Answer:Yes.

Step-by-step explanation: Substitute either of the those values and you should get the other.

For instance, substituting x = 1 got you y = 5. If you had substituted x = 1 and got a different y-value, then the coordinates would have been incorrect.
