So what you have to know is x^-y = 1/(x^y). Basically 1/ same thing with positive power.
For example
5^-4 = 1/(5^4)
Now
1/(5^-4) = 1/(1/(5^4)) =
1 * (5^4)/1. Because when you dividing a fraction, you multiple it and switch order.
=
5^4
