multiply each term inside the parantheses with the terms in the other paranthesis:

4x*2x^2=8x^3

4x*-7x=-28x^2

4x*1=4x

2)now for the other term, -3

-3*2x^2=-6x^2

-3*-7x=21x

-3*1= -3

combine both terms

8x^3-28x^2+4x-6x^2+21x-3
