Answer: Plant sources or Non Heme; Animal or Heme Sources

Step-by-step explanation:

Heme iron is the type of iron found in animals either in the blood or muscle and which is present in red meats, fish, and eggs. The body absorbs heme iron easily. With increase consumption of this animal iron, the heme protein attaches to a lone iron atom giving the name HEME IRON because of the heme in haemoglobin, Heme iron comes with its own disadvantages in terms of negative health effects due to nits rapid absorption into the body

Non heme iron is iron found in plant from foods like green vegetables, seeds , and nuts. Unlike heme iron, Non heme iron is not combined with a heme protein, this is the due to the low ability for the body’s to absorb non heme iron. Because of this, one can eat more since iron toxicity is never achieved here and no negative health effect can be achieved.

Having the right proportion of iron in the body is important because iron is an essential mineral, too little can can anemia and too much can cause oxidative stress, it is advised to consume more of non heme iron than heme since the absorption into the body is minimal so as to keep the right iron balance.
