Explain why you would use the inequality symbol > if a description contains the key word "exceeds"? Be specific.

> is the greater sign. A number is greater than another number 10>2. 10 is greater than 2.

Exceeds is similar to greater. 5 shirts exceeds 2 shirts. 5>2. You won’t say 2 shirts exceeds 5 shirts right, because 2 is not greater than 5.
