Dolores is working on her flower garden. Her garden is a square with an area of 81 square feet. She wants to cover a circular area inside her garden with mulch. The edge of the circle will touch each side of the square. How many square feet will be covered in mulch?

Given area of 81 ft² then to get b, we get rhe squareroot

b²=81

b=√81=9

This 9 is the diameter of rhe circular area that mulch covers.

A=πr²

Substituting 4.5 in for r then
