The Trade Desk Every Viewability is the probability that an ad is going to be seen by someone on the page. If its calculated that my impressions will be seen 20% of the time, am I most likely willing to pay 20% of the base bid? Example: $5 base bid x 20% viewablity = $1 (actual value of impression).

Answer: YES

Explanation: Since payment is based on viewability , whichmeasures the tendency or probability that a certain advertisement is going to be viewed on a page.

Calculating payments based on probability is a more transparent and fair valuation for base payment.

Payment is only made on probable number of views achieved.

20% of base bid will be paid since the estimated value of impression created.

Actual value of impression = (Probability of impression × base bid)
