Answer:

eviction

Step-by-step explanation:

An eviction refers to removing someone from a property which that person previously rented as a tenant, or owed but a foreclosure process took place.

Sadly, evictions were very common about 10-12 years ago during the great recession but still represent a problem for people under the poverty line. Generally poor people are not homeowners, so they must rent a place to live or share a place with another person (usually a relative).

Considering that a middle class family's most valuable asset is generally their home, not having a home or not being able to buy a home will always lower the quality of life of people and increase their problems.

Many times government agencies try to solve or help solve housing issues, the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and other state agencies were created for that purpose. Not having a having and having to pay rent is always stressful and eventually only adds to the problems that poor people face every day.
