6. Solve the following system of equations

5x + 3y = 7
3x −5y = −23

A, x=-1, y=4

Explanation:

First off you have to get rid of the y, so you have to multiply the the whole first equation by 5, and the whole second equation by 3, and then you can add your ys together and get 0 and you want to add both of the equations together. it will leave you with 34x=-34 so x=-1. take the first equation and plug in the answer you got, so it should be -5+3y=7, add 5 to both sides and then you will get 3y=12 divide that by 3 and you have y=4. So the answer is x=-1, y=4
