Developments such as the Tank or automatic rifles were devastating to the soldiers of the First World War, before WW1 war was a gentleman’s sport, armies lining up taking turns to fire, but this war changed the reality of all wars to come, these technological advancements made the war hell for any soldier participating, trench warfare combined with mortar shellings and giant tanks exploding everywhere was chaos at its finest and nobody came out of that war unscathed.

Answer:Weapon developments were huge because of the Machine gun.

Step-by-step explanation:

The machine gun was huge during that time. It revolutionized weapons forever! It caused a lot of destruction in that war since it's invention! A lot more lives were taken! It affected the soldiers by causing a lot more damage and a lot more lives were lost because of the development of this weapon!
