Hello there,

In order to find the equation you would need to use the slope intercept form:

  • (y_(2) - y_(1) )/(x_(2) - x_(1) )

Now we plug in and solve for the slope:

  • (0-1)/(0-(-3)) =
    (-1)/(3)

Now we plug into y = mx + b to solve for the y-intercept:

  • 0 = -
    (1)/(3)(0) + b which gives you 0 for the y-intercept

So the equation would have to be y =
-(1)/(3) +0 or just y =
-(1)/(3)

Hope I helped,

Amna
