Answer:

Explanation:

Slope-Intercept form is y=mx+b

m is the slope and b is the y-intercept

You can use any ordered pairs but I suggest ones that touch down on an intersect like (0,70) and (3,60)

slope=
(y^(2) -y^(1) )/(x^(2) -x^(1) )

slope using (0,70) and (3,60)=
-(10)/(3)

The y-intercept is 60 since its the number that touches the y-axis

So the equation for the trend line is

y=-(10)/(3) x+70

Explanation:

Given line is passing through the points (3, 60) & (6, 50)

Therefore, slope of line:

m = (50 - 60)/(6 - 3) = - (10)/(3) \\ y - intercept \: (b) = 70 \\ equation \: of \: line \: in \: slope \: intercept \\ form \: is \: given \: as : \\ y = mx + b \\ \huge \red{ \boxed{\therefore \: y = - (10)/(3) x + 70}} \\ which \: is \: the \: required \: equation.
