Answer:

Food Webs and Food Chains are similar in the fact that they both show what animals eat, decomposer and other environmental food factors (if that makes sense).

Food Webs though are more complicated than Food Chains.

Food Webs show how many animals eat one thing, while Food Chains show how one thing gives something energy, and then what eats that thing.

For example:

FIsh A gets eaten by Fish B and then Fish B gets eaten by a Shark

A Food Web though, shows how many animals eat Fish A and then how many eat Fish B

For example:

Fish A gets eaten by Fish B, Fish C, Fish D, Humans and Whales

Fish B gets eaten by Humans, Whales, and Sharks

And so on and so forth

I hope this helps!

Answer:

Food chains differ from food webs in that they are showing a single line of feeding relationships. Food webs actually consist of many food chains together. A food chain is a linear display of energy movement and consumption. On the other hand, a food web shows interrelated relationships and multiple food chains in one.
