Ryan was going to the store to buy groceries and specifically some fruit. He bought a total of 45 pieces of fruit.

He bought 15 apples and the rest were a variety of assorted fruit. Besides the apples, which were in a separate bag, If he had three baskets to put the rest of the fruit in, how many pieces of fruit would go in each basket?

Answer:

10 pieces of fruit

Explanation:

At the moment, without counting the apples, he has 30 apples and 3 baskets. We can start picking up 1 fruit and placing it in the baskets 1 by 1. When we are done, each basket will have 10 fruits in each basket.

30 / 3 = F

F = 10
