Explanation:

2(a-2) = -a-1/a-4

2a-4=-a-1/a-4

(2a-4)*(a-4)= - (a-1)

(2a-4)*(a-4)+(a-1)=0

2a^2-5a-6a+15=0

a*(2a-5)-(2a-5=0

(2a-5)*(a-3)=0

2a-5=0

ax3=0

a=5/2

a=3
