Slope = -2 Y - intercept = 18

To find a parallel line, use the same equation as before, but..
- Change x and y to the coordinates
- Make b a variable
- The slope stays the same! Since they are parallel they have the same slope.

The equation should look like:
6 = (-2)(-6) + b

Then solve for b
6 = (-2)(-6) + b
6 = -12 + b
18 = b

So, the slope is the same (-2) and the y-intercept is 18.

y = -2x + 18
