Answer:

In the box it asks if these are congruent the answer is misleading as they all have different sides and angles. They become congruent with each other, so yes is the answer.

Describe how the properties changed the properties did not change as this was translation and not scale factor change or dilatation.

The measure wouldn't change we can prove this as showing the area of fit

on tracing paper and use a closed pin this in the book so the shape can turn another 180 degree we can also draw an arrow above the first shape to show its facing upwards and then turn the tracing paper of the 3rd same shape to match by labeling it the same letter as the 180 transitioned shape. Both are the same shape and size with same angles and same lengths.

What needs to be done for JKH shape in pencil draw a horizontal symmetry line on line JK horizontally dotted across the page in red and stop at the y axis.

Then copy the mirror shape in pencil then draw a second line of symmetry on J vertically both these lines have no gaps.

When you draw the 2nd triangle (3rd small triangle seen for JKH you will see its mirrored image projects the larger shae at this rotational point.)

We call this point 3:1 = 45 degree 3:2 =180 and we number the first shown triangle already on the paper we label it 1.

Lastly, if the scale factor was 2 instead of half we count the coordinates and i see this a ((-6) (-2)) , (4) draw up the points and see.

This is because the right corner can stay the same

We are only enlarging the shape twice from its original value both directions upwards and to the side it gets enlarged twice the original size.

For dilation you draw dotted lines from each vertices similar to how you make a 3d shape but you are drawing lines away to a smaller area to the left of the JKH triangle. So that it is half the size and half the distance away too.

For comparing dilation to transition the most important thing is to speak of scale change in sides only and you could mention distance and call it projection.

Answer:

1. The angle and line properties are still the same because the shape was only translated and not dilated.

2. The measurements of the angles in the image are the same as the ones in the original.

1. H(-4, -8) J(-12, 2) K(-4, 4)

2. A translation the spot of the shape. A reflection reflects the shape across either the x-axis or the y-axis. A rotation spins the shape. A dilation changes the size of the shape.
