Answer:

2x+3 = 7

2x = 7-3

2x =4

x=2

Just the same as finding x^2

(x+2)^2 + 3x - 7x + 2x

4x^2 + 3x - 7x +2x

x^2 = 2x

x = 1

Answer:

Isosceles triangle is a triangle that has two sides of equal length.

Perimeter of isosceles triangle is given by:

or P = a+a+b where a is the equal of length sides and b is the unequal side length side.

Given: Two congruent sides each of has length = 2x-1.5 unit and third side has length x+3.

⇒ and b = x+3

By definition of Perimeter;

P = 2a+b

P=2(2x-1.5)+x+3

P= 4x - 3 + 3 [Using distributive property]

Simplify:

P = 4x

Therefore, two equivalent expression for the perimeter of isosceles triangle are;

P=2(2x-1.5)+x+3 or P = 2x -1.5 + 2x-1.5 + x+3

P = 4x
