What were the most important outcomes of the War of 1812? Why did it feel like an

American victory, even though American forces achieved only mixed results on the
battlefields?

The most important outcome of the War of 1812 was probably the peace that came out of it. After the war Britain and the US were finally at peace. It felt like victory to America because they were finally recognized as a legitimate country by Britain and Europe in general. This was very important because nobody thought that America would last as a nation and this proved that maybe, just maybe, America could become something great.
