Hey, I posted this yesterday in the comments of an answer, but since that answer got deleted, here it is again:

First, we need to solve for x. Since these equations are both equal to y, they're also equal to each other, so we can combine them to get
x+4 = 3x-4. Then, we add 4 to both sides to get
x+8 = 3x, then subtract x from both sides and get
8=2x. Then, if we divide both sides by 2, we get
x=4.

Now that we have x, we can plug it into one of the equations and solve for y. I chose to plug it into the first one. So, now we have
y=4+4, which simplifies to
y=8.

Combining those two solutions, we get our coordinate point:
(4,8).
