to find the slope of an equation, you do the ratio of rise / run. ratio is simply a fancy word of using a division symbol to compare 2 values :) so your rise is how much it goes UP or DOWN from one point, and the run is SIDEWAYS. the slope of this equation is 2/1 or 2 :) hope this helped
