What were some effect that the Great Depression had on city dwellers?

Answer:

City dwellers who had lost their jobs begged for food and sometimes received some help from relief agencies. Even though farmers could grow some of their own food, many lost their land. When prices fell they tried to produce even more to pay their debts, taxes and living expenses. In the early 1930's prices dropped so low that many farmers went bankrupt and lost their farms.
