To find surface area, simply add the area of the faces of a shape, this shape has exactly 5 faces, 4 of which are triangles, the square should be the easiest to find the area of so let's start off with that!

The square has a side length of 5, to find the area of course, you square the side lengths!

5^2 (or 5*5) = 25!

Now for the triangles, we know that they are all equal to each other, since this is a prism. To find the area of a triangle, use this formula:

1/2h*b

So let's insert these values into our equation!

1/2(5.6)(5)

2.8(5)

14

This means that the are for the triangles are all equal to 14!

SInce there are 4 triangles, we can multiply 14 by 4 to get 56!

Now we add the area of the square and the area of the triangles to that of the square!

We get 81!
