Explanation:

Since the triangle has been reduced by 1/5, all dimensions also reduce by 1/5

If it was a right angle triangle where area is given by 0.5bh

The original area is 0.5bh

When base is reduced by 1/5, the new base is b/5. Similarly, the new height will be h/5

The new area will be 0.5b/5*h/5=0.5bh/25

Clearly, the new area has been reduced by 1/25 compared to the original area
