Distributive property is where you distribute the number outside of parentheses to the numbers inside. Such as
2(4x+2)
You would multiply the 2 to all the numbers inside of the parentheses leaving you with
8x+4
Then you divide the 8x to the 4 since they aren’t the same thing and because you need to get the x by itself.
Leaving you with
X=2

Answer:

a(b + c) = ab + ac

Explanation:

a(b + c) = ab + ac

a(b - c) = ab - ac

5(2 + 3) = 5*5 = 25

5(2 + 3) = 5(2) + 5(3) = 10 + 15 = 25
