and then filled with concrete. How many
cubic feet of concrete will be needed to
complete the ramp?

You can calculate the volume of the concrete that will be needed to complete the ramp with the folllowing formula:


V=Bh

Where "B" is the area of the base and "h" is the heigth.

The base is a triangle, then its area can be found with this formula:


B=(ba)/(2)

Where "b" is the base and "a" is the heigth.

IN this case:


b=12ft\\a=10ft

Then:


B=(12ft*10ft)/(2)\\\\B=60ft^2

Since:


h=6ft

You get that the volume is:


V=(60 ft^2)(6ft)\\\\V=360ft^3
