Ms. Ghandi runs 1 mile each morning and 1 mile each evening. She also does

10 push-ups each morning and each evening.
a. Ms. Ghandi writes the two expressions 2(m + 10p) and 2m + 20p. Explain how
each expression represents how much she exercises.

Explanation:

a. Possible answer: 2(m 1 10p) shows that she runs 1 mile and does 10 push-ups two times a day. 2m 1 20p shows that she runs 2 miles and does 20 push-ups each day.

Thank you

the first expression, 2(m+10p) represents how much she exercised because Ms. Ghandi runs a mile twice a day and does 10 push ups twice a day so if you take out the common multiple of 2 and multiply it by one set is shows how much she does in a day
the second equation, 2m+20p represents how much she exercises because she runs a mile twice a day and does 10 push ups twice a day
