In 200, a government program cost taxpayers $150 billion, and in 2010 is cost $300 billion. Find a linear function M that models these costs, in billion, x years after 2010

Answer:

if the data shows fx mx +b

c = 300 = -1(150)+b

300 = -150 + b

500 = b

Explanation:

m= change in c / divided by the change x we find this = 300-150 / 2010/-2000 = -1.005 year of change

= m= -1 year per billion

This means if the year shows an old data = -1.005 billion then it will show an increase for the duration of -1.005 billion = 150 billion.
