Answer: Spleen

Explanation:

The spleen is a delicate organ located under the left ribs near the abdomen. It functions in the formation of red blood cells and filters old RBCs from the body. It also contain special white blood cells and are important part of immune system.

Due to automobile accident the abdomen of woman suffers from a severe direct blunt trauma that causes rupture of spleen due to which large amount of internal bleeding occur.

In order to restrict the internal bleeding The woman will undergo with a surgical procedure of splenectomy, removal of the entire spleen. After removal of spleen, a second spleen present in humans starts growing and functioning.
