A transversal has cut a pair of parallel lines.When a transversal cuts a pair of parallel lines different angles like alternate angles,corresponding angles,VOA and cointerior angles are formed whereas VOA,alternate angles and corresponding angles are equal and cointerior angles sums to 180°....

In the figure,

1=87 (being alternate angles)

And,

2+87°=180°

therefore,

2=93°
