The ratio of A's to total number of card is 2 to 3.

The right answer is Option b.

Explanation:

Given,

Total number of cards = 12

Let,

Number of cards written A on them = a

Number of cards written B on them = b

According to given statement;

a + b = 12 Eqn 1

a = 2b Eqn 2

Putting value of a from Eqn 2 in Eqn 1

2b+b=12\\3b=12

Dividing both sides by 3

(3b)/(3)=(12)/(3)\\b=4

Putting b=4 in Eqn 2

a = 2(4) = 8

Ratio of A's cards to total number of cards = 8 : 12

Simplifying

Ratio of A's to total number of cards = 2 : 3

The ratio of A's to total number of card is 2 to 3.

The right answer is Option b.
