Select any animal you like, as long as it is not one that has been posted already by another student. Do some research on the fossil record of this particular animal and explain in a few sentences how you think this animal evolved from its ancestors and what those ancestors were.

Answer:

ok fossil record rabbit.. this fossil was record in the K-T boundary.

and The K–T boundary is a geological signature, usually a thin band, dated to (65.5 ± 0.3) Ma. K is the traditional abbreviation for the Cretaceous period, and T is the abbreviation for the Tertiary period. The boundary marks the end of the Mesozoic era and the beginning of the Cenozoic era, and is associated with the Cretaceous–Tertiary extinction event, a mass extinction.

oh and Rabbits belong to the order of mammals called Lagomorpha, which includes 40 or so species of rabbits..the also evolved to adapt to their own environment.

eh-hope this helps..
