x=7

Explanation:

First you distribute the numbers outside the parenthesis and then you get 20x - 8 = 18x + 6 and then subtract the lowest value of x to both sides to get 2x - 8 = 6 and then add 8 to both sides to get 14 and then divide 2x to that and that gives you 7.
