When kids come to a party I give them sweets. I give 10 sweets each to the first 3 kids and then 5 sweets each to the next 2 kids. How many sweets do I give on average?

10 + 10 + 10 + 5 + 5 = 40. 40/5 = 8 pieces on average.

Answer:

Explanation:

Number of sweets given to first 3 kids = 3*10 = 30

Number of sweets given to next 2 kids = 2*5 = 10

Total sweets given = 30 + 10 = 40

Average = Total sweets/ Total no of kids

=(40)/(5)\\

= 8 sweets
