In which quadrant does an angle of 1300° terminate? Assume the vertex of the angle is at the origin and one leg of the angle is on the positive c-axis.

Answer: quadrant 3

Work Shown:

Divide 1300 over 360

1300/360 = 3.611 approximately

Focus on the whole part 3. There are 3 full revolutions

3*360 = 1080, which subtracts off to get 1300-1080 = 220 left over.

The remainder 220 tells us where the angle points. It's in quadrant 3 since 220 degrees is between 180 degrees and 270 degrees.
