If you're wearing steel-toe boots and you don't shatter some toes or a leg, then the object's acceleration is 10.58 m/s^2 ... but ONLY as long as your toe is touching it.
That acceleration is slightly greater than 1 G and your toe is not accelerating at that rate. So the object will get away ahead of your toe very quickly, and as soon as the contact breaks, the object stops accelerating.
