Answer: lenght is 50yrds, width is 30yrds

Explanation:

Perimeter of a pool = 2( lenght x breadth)

Perimeter = 160yrds

If the lenght is 10yrds less than twice the width then,

lenght = 2w - 10,

Where w is the width

Then from p = 2(L + w)

160 = 2( 2w - 10 + w)

160 = 2(3w - 10)

160 = 6w - 20

160 + 20 = 6w = 180

width w = 180/6 = 30yrds

From p = 2(L + w)

160 = 2(L + 30)

160 = 2L + 60

160 - 60 = 2L = 100

L = 100/2 = 50yrds
