Answer:

multiplying equation 2 by 2 and adding eq 1

3x-2y = 17

+4x+2y = 60 3

=

7x = 77

x = 77/7 = 11

then

y = (60-4x)/2 {from equation 3}

y = 60-44/2 = 16/2 = 8

then

x = 11

y = 8
