Answer:

x = -2 and x = 7.

Explanation:

18^(x^2 + 4x + 4) = 18^(9x + 18)

As the base is the same:

x^2 + 4x + 4 = 9x + 18

x^2 - 5x - 14 = 0

(x + 2)(x - 7)

x = -2, 7.

Answer:

comparing powers of equal bases

x^2+4x+4 = 9x +18

x^2 -5x -14=0

x^2 -7x +2x -14=0

x^2 -7x +2x - 14=0

(x-7) x + 2(x-7) =0

(x-7) (x+2) =0

x= - 2 , 7
