Answer:

The width is 10 ft and the length is 20 ft

Explanation:

w = width

l = 2w

A = l*w

200 = lw

= (2w) *w

200 = 2w^2

Divide each side by 2

200/2 = 2w^2 /2

100 = w^2

Take the square root of each side

sqrt(100) = sqrt( w^2)

10 = w

l =2w = 2(10) = 20

The width is 10 ft and the length is 20 ft

Answer:

Width = 10ft

Length = 20ft

Explanation:

Width = W

Length = 2W

Area = Length * Width

Substitute in known values

200 = 2W * W

200 = 2W²

Divide both sides of the equation by 2

100 = W²

Find the square root of 100

√(100) = W

W = 10

Width = 10ft

Length = 2 * 10 = 20ft

Hope this helps :)
