A hang glider dropped his cell phone from a height of

275 feet. Use the formula
t = √h / 4 to find how many seconds it took for the cell phone to reach the ground. Answer exactly or round to 2 decimal places.

The formula is
t=(√(h))/(4) , where t is the time and h is the height

The height of that the cell phone dropped from it is 275 feet above the ground

∴ h = 275

- Substitute the value of h in the formula to find t


t=(√(275))/(4)


t=(5)/(4)√(11)

- Change it to decimal

∴ t = 4.15 seconds to the nearest 2 decimal places

It took the cell phone 4.15 seconds to reach the ground
