Answer:

The number of red marbles is 46.

Explanation:

Given that, there are some marbles in a box.
\frac14 of them are red.

Assume x be the number of marbles in the box.

The number of red marble is
=(1)/(4)* x

=(x)/(4)

The remainder marbles are
=x-\frac x 4

=(4x-x)/(4)

=(3x)/(4)

\frac16 of the remainder marbles are blue.

The number of blue marbles are
=(3x)/(4)* \frac{1}6

=\frac x8

The remainder marbles are
=(3x)/(4)-\frac x8

=(6x-x)/(8)

=(5x)/(8)

According to the problem,

(5x)/(8)=115

\Rightarrow x=(115* 8)/(5)

\Rightarrow x=184

The number of red marbles is
=(x)/(4)

=(184)/(4)

=46
