10x - x^2 + 1
first make both sides equal to 0

10x - x^2 + 1 = 0
get rid of x^2 by adding it to both sides

10x + 1 = x^2
get rid of 10x and +1 by subtracting both sides by the values

0 = x^2 - 10x - 1

Now you get x^2 - 10x - 1

a= 1 b= -10 c= -1
