Answer:

You find the area first

L x W of the rectangle only.

To find volume : you find the depth of the square and multiply this by the area above.

Whatever the number is you add 'unit sq'

Lets say the rectangular prism measured L12 units x W6units x D4units

A =72unit square

V = D4 x A72 = 4 x 72 = 288unitsq cubes
