ABC with vertices A(-6, -8), B(0, 4), and C (-6, 10) is dilated so that A’ is
now (-15, -20). What was the
dilation, and where are B’ and C’?

Answer:

scale factor = 2.5 and b` is now (0,10) and c` is (-15, 25)

Explanation:

You first want to divide -15 and -6, the x values of a and a`. this will give you the scale factor. then multiply every other number by the scale factor to get the points for b` and c`.

(not sure if this is right but this is how i learned)
