What is the slope of the line that passes through the points (–9, 2) and (0, 4)?

Answer:

2/9 is correct, or just .22

Explanation:

Use the formula
(x^2 - x^1)/(y^2 - y^1) = (rise)/(run) = (-9 - 0)/(2 -4)

However, the variables, are not squared, that is meant to be subscript :D

Explanation:

Slope = y2- y1/x2 - x1

Given

x1 = -9

y1 = 2

x2 = 0

y2 = 4

Therefore

Slope = 4 - 2 /0 -(-9)

= 4 - 2/0 + 9

= 2/9
